This Authorization is presented only if you choose to request a financing, leasing, mortgage, vehicle, residential, or other financial product through Tamarindo. By selecting 'Authorize Credit Check,' you expressly authorize Tamarindo, its affiliates, subsidiaries, successors, assigns, Financing Partners, service providers, brokers, lessors, lenders, originators, marketplace participants, administrators, servicers, and consumer reporting agencies, as applicable, to obtain, receive, review, verify, use, and share Consumer Reports and related information solely for the purposes described below.
1. Authorization
You authorize Tamarindo and applicable Financing Partners to obtain one or more Consumer Reports from one or more consumer reporting agencies, together with identity verification, fraud prevention, sanctions screening, and similar information reasonably necessary to evaluate your eligibility, verify your application, facilitate a transaction you request, comply with law, and protect against fraud.
2. Soft and Hard Inquiries
Where available, Tamarindo or a Financing Partner may first use a soft inquiry or similar prequalification process. If a hard inquiry is required to process your request, you expressly authorize that inquiry and acknowledge that it may appear on your credit history.
3. Identity Verification
You authorize Tamarindo and applicable Financing Partners to verify your identity and application information using lawful public records, identity verification providers, fraud-prevention databases, compliance screening services, and other lawful sources.
4. Certifications
You certify that the information you have submitted is true, complete, and accurate to the best of your knowledge; that you are acting on your own behalf or are authorized to act for the applicant; and that you understand Tamarindo and Financing Partners may rely upon the information you provide.
5. Sharing
You authorize Tamarindo to share your application and related information with Financing Partners as reasonably necessary to evaluate, facilitate, originate, broker, service, purchase, administer, or otherwise provide the financial products or services you request.
6. Ongoing Authorization
If your request results in a financing or leasing relationship, you authorize Tamarindo and applicable Financing Partners, to the extent permitted by applicable law and governing agreements, to obtain additional Consumer Reports as reasonably necessary for servicing, renewals, modifications, collections, fraud prevention, compliance, quality control, or other lawful business purposes.
7. Electronic Consent
You agree that this Authorization may be executed electronically and that checking a box, clicking a button, or using another accepted electronic signature method has the same legal effect as a handwritten signature.
8. No Guarantee
Submitting this Authorization does not guarantee approval, funding, pricing, rates, lease terms, credit limits, or availability of any financial product.
9. Withdrawal
You may decline or withdraw this Authorization before a Consumer Report is requested. However, without this Authorization Tamarindo may be unable to evaluate or process your request.
10. Relationship to Other Documents
This Authorization supplements the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. In the event of any inconsistency regarding Consumer Reports or credit inquiries, this Authorization controls.
What you are authorizing
- Tamarindo and applicable Financing Partners may obtain, review, and use Consumer Reports as described above.
- Identity verification and fraud-prevention checks are authorized.
- One or more hard credit inquiries may occur if required.
- Financing Partners may independently evaluate your application.
- Your application information is true and complete.
- Approval is not guaranteed.
